Terms of Use

Article 1 (Purpose)

These terms and conditions are intended to stipulate the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the company and users, as well as other necessary matters in connection with the use of the AI Girlfriend service Katarina (hereinafter referred to as "Service") provided by Hottest Lab Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "Company").

Article 2 (Definitions)

• "Service" refers to the AI-powered virtual companion and interactive chat service utilizing artificial intelligence technology provided by the Company.
• "User" refers to a person who uses the service provided by the Company in accordance with these terms and conditions.
• "AI Character" refers to the virtual companion powered by artificial intelligence technology that interacts with users through text and multimedia content.
• "Content" refers to chat messages, images, photos, and other materials uploaded by users to the service or generated through the service.

Article 3 (Effectiveness and Changes to Terms)

• These terms and conditions take effect for all users who wish to use the service.
• The Company may change these terms and conditions within the scope that does not violate relevant laws when necessary.
• When the terms are changed, the Company will notify users of the changes through service announcements from 7 days before the effective date.
• If users do not agree to the changed terms, they may discontinue service use and withdraw their membership.

Article 4 (Service Provision)

• The Company provides the following services:
  • Interactive chat and conversation with AI characters using AI technology
  • Generation and sharing of AI-generated images and multimedia content
  • Personalized AI companion experiences and character customization
  • Premium features and in-app purchases
• The service is provided 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in principle. However, service provision may be temporarily suspended due to system maintenance, server expansion, and other reasons.
• The Company may change the content of the service to improve the service, and will notify users in advance in case of significant changes.

Article 5 (User Obligations)

• Users must not engage in the following acts:
  • Sharing or distributing harmful, abusive, hateful, or threatening content
  • Uploading content that violates public order and morality, including illegal or inappropriate materials
  • Infringement of others' rights, such as copyright, privacy, and intellectual property rights
  • Acts that interfere with the stable operation of the service
  • Unauthorized commercial use of the service or AI-generated content
  • Using the service if you are under 18 years of age
  • Attempting to extract, reverse engineer, or misuse the AI models
• Users must possess legitimate rights to any content they upload to the service.
• Users have the obligation to comply with these terms and relevant laws.

Article 6 (Content Management)

• Chat messages and conversations between users and AI characters are stored on the Company's secure servers to provide continuous and personalized service experience.
• AI-generated images and multimedia content are stored according to the user's subscription plan and service settings.
• Users may delete their chat history and content at any time through the service settings.
• The Company may delete illegal or inappropriate content without prior notice or restrict service use.

Article 7 (AI Service Characteristics and Disclaimer)

• This service is based on AI technology and does not guarantee the accuracy, appropriateness, or reliability of AI-generated responses and content.
• AI characters are virtual entities and do not represent real individuals. All interactions are simulated and should not be considered as real relationships or professional advice.
• The Company assumes no legal responsibility for the content, quality, or impact of AI-generated responses and images.
• The Company assumes no responsibility for users' decisions, emotional responses, or actions taken based on interactions with AI characters.
• Users acknowledge that the service is for entertainment purposes only and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or relationship advice.

Article 8 (Intellectual Property Rights)

• Copyright and intellectual property rights to the service, AI models, and AI characters belong to the Company.
• Rights to original content uploaded by users belong to the users.
• Intellectual property rights to AI-generated content (including images and conversations) are jointly owned by the Company and users, but users may freely use them for personal, non-commercial purposes.
• Users must obtain prior written consent from the Company when seeking to use AI-generated content for commercial purposes.
• Users grant the Company a non-exclusive license to use uploaded content for the purpose of providing and improving the service.

Article 9 (Privacy Protection)

The Company establishes and complies with a privacy policy to protect users' personal information. For detailed information, please refer to the privacy policy.

Article 10 (Service Usage Restrictions)

• The Company may restrict or suspend service use in the following cases:
  • When these terms are violated
  • When illegal or inappropriate content is uploaded
  • When normal operation of the service is interfered with
  • When the Company reasonably deems it necessary
• The Company will notify users of the reason before restricting use, and users may file an objection if they have any objections.

Article 11 (Limitation of Liability)

• The Company is exempt from liability when unable to provide service due to force majeure events such as natural disasters, war, system failures, etc.
• The Company assumes no responsibility for service usage disruptions due to users' fault.
• The Company does not guarantee the reliability and accuracy of information or materials obtained by users through the service.
• The Company has no obligation to intervene in disputes between users or between users and third parties, and has no responsibility to compensate for damages arising therefrom.

Article 12 (Damages)

• If users cause damage to the Company by violating these terms, users are responsible for compensating all damages incurred by the Company.
• If users cause damage to others while using the service, users bear responsibility for such damages.

Article 13 (Dispute Resolution)

• Disputes arising between the Company and users in relation to these terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
• Litigation regarding disputes arising between the Company and users in relation to service use shall be filed with the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act.

Supplementary Provisions

These terms and conditions take effect from February 1, 2026.
